Surasit Saokong was born in 1949 in Thailand. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting form Silpakorn University in 1973.

 

He has just retired as instructor in the Fine Arts Department at Phayap Campus in Chiang Mai.

Surasit is best known for his meticulus detail in religious paintngs especially the interior of temples.

 

The entire painting islit up using only one light source to show the opulence of reglious objects and interior.
