Nick Chin

Nick Chin was born 1978 in Singapore. He is a Singapore based ceramist who works from his home studio. He began his tutelage in 2016 when he learnt hand building and wheel throwing techniques.

Following on, Nick explores various forms of pottery techniques and textures that embrace nature as contemporary design.

 

Nick contorts his clay into forms that are at once unnatural, yet organic. His 'Strange Fruits' and 'Pupa' expressions, finished in expressive glazes, reflect his signatures - ambiguous and amusing.
