Ju Ming

Ju Ming was born in 1938 in Taiwan, ChinaHe attained fame in Taiwan in the 1970s, and in New York in 1983.

Ju Ming was trained as sculptor and developed his skill in a range of media, including bronze, styrofoam, ceramics, and stainless steel.

While Ju Ming is well known for his Taiji series, his smaller works in ceramics is equally priced.

The National Art Gallery has a series of fish in clay and glaze.

His ceramics are life like because Ju Ming very simply rolled out the clay and folded it into a shape, followed by glaze and firing.

Unfortunately there is very little documentation on his ceramics, hence little interest.
